The Game of Life Twists and Turns

The Game of Life Twists & Turns is a version of the classic The Game of Life board game, released in 2007. In this game, players try to get the most life points by going on different pathways. One big difference from the original game is that players now use an electronic device called LifePod instead of money. The game uses an electronic life pod instead of money, and players earn points based on their life experiences and wealth.

The game board is divided into four areas, which are: “Learn it”, “Live it”, “Love it”, and “Earn it”. Players can move into any area they choose to pursue. They take turns going on vacation, buying houses, and having careers.

The game includes the Automated Life Pod, which helps players track time and manage money, houses, cars, and family matters. Instead of cash, players use colored Visa cards.

Game Play

In The Game of Life Twists & Turns, players spin the wheel and move ahead of the indicated number of spaces. If another player already takes the space, they move to the space just ahead of that player.

Players then read the space and follow the instructions. If they stop at a space with a red stop sign beside it, they must pay travel expenses of $20,000. Players can also add Life Points indicated by the space.

Features

The game also includes an auction feature where players can take away $10,000 to $100,000 from their account and press Chance. When they get a 1 or 2, they add twice the amount that was taken and if they get a 0, they lose the auction. The Life Card can be drawn if the players don’t want to bid in the auction.

Winning

At the end of the game, the player with the most Life Points wins. The first player’s Visa Game Card goes into the Life Pod, which converts everything on the card into Life Points. Players leave the card in the life pod until the Life Point total flashes on the screen.
