Risk Game of Thrones Rules
In the game, players assume the roles of noble Houses competing for control of Westeros during the War of the Five Kings. The game has three modes: Skirmish, Dominion, and World at War.
Skirmish is the basic version, Dominion is the advanced version, and World at War allows players to use either Skirmish or Dominion rules and play with both maps and up to seven players.
The game includes two custom-designed game boards, seven armies, and over 650 pieces. The Deluxe Edition includes two game boards, 315 army pieces, 7 seats of power, 7 player boards, 187 cards, 63 special unit tokens, 75 gold dragon coins, 20 player board score trackers, and 9 dice.
To win the game, players must capture all the territories on the board and eliminate the other players’ troops. They can maneuver and place reinforcements from one land in a territory they claim.

The purpose of the game is to conquer territories and control as much of Westeros and the region of Essos as possible, to eliminate your opponents and take over the Seven Kingdoms.

Setup

- Pick a house: Each player selects a noble house from the Game of Thrones series, such as Stark, Lannister, or Targaryen. Every house has unique competencies and starting positions.
- Place starting units: Players can pick up the houses and arrange their starting units on the designated territories according to the scenario.
Gameplay
- Reinforcement phase: The re-reinforcement phase begins with the players acquiring some troops based on the territories they control and any bonus cards they have collected.
- Order phase: The order phase involves players making turns assigning orders for their territories, such as March, Support, or Consolidate Power. These commands indicate the actions players can take during the round.
- Action phase: The action phase begins with players resolving their orders one at a time, starting with March orders. They can gain more troops to attack enemy territories, or consolidate power to gain more troops or special abilities.
- Battle resolution: To fight an enemy territory, players roll dice to determine the results of the battle. The number of dice a player rolls depends on how many soldiers are attacking and defending.
- Victory points: Players earn victory points by completing certain tasks or exercising control over specific territories. These points contribute to winning the game.
- Special abilities: Each house has special cards and abilities that can help them do better or stop what their opponents are doing.
Game Winning
The game ends when a player achieves a scenario-specific challenge or completely eliminates all other players. The winner is the player with the most territories, castles, and ports. These goals are worth 1 to 4 Victory Points, the first player to earn 10 Victory Points and control their Seat of Power wins.
