Blink Cards

The card game Blink uses a deck of 60 cards, with six suits of ten cards each. Players can hold up to three cards in their hand at once. Place one draw pile of 30 cards in front of each player. Then, take the top card from each draw pile and place it face down between the players. Afterward, each player takes the top three cards from their draw pile to form their hand. Players are allowed to look at the cards in their hand to strategize for the game.

Blink Card Game Rules

To set up the Blink deck, shuffle the cards and arrange them, face downwards, to form two equal draw piles. Lay out the top card from each draw pile, face down, between the players. Arrange these cards next to each other so that both players can access them.

From there, each player picks up the top three cards from their draw pile to come up with a hand. The player has three cards in their hand, and they need to be quick to make matches.

Sometimes, players cannot make a match, and in such cases, they need to wait for their opponent to pass down a card that allows them to play. The first player to finish playing with the cards in their hands wins the blink game. Blink is also widely recognized as Blink Fast & Furious, Blink: Bible Edition, and Speed.

How To Play Blink Card Game

To begin the game, shuffle the deck of cards and deal 30 cards to each player. Each player should place the cards face down in front of them. Next, each player should take the top card from their deck and place it face down in the center of the table, next to each other.

After this, both players should take the top three cards from their draw piles and turn them face up to look at them. The game involves using cards with major symbols, such as moons, triangles, and stars.

Game Features

The game features lightning-fast action with two players racing head-to-head to be the first to play every single one of their cards by matching the shape, count, or color on the cards.

Discard Pile

To create a discard, the dealer sets the deck in the center of the table and flips over the top card. The player to the left of the dealer makes a move first, and the play continues in a clockwise direction.

Taking Turns

On each turn, a player can draw one card from the draw deck or discard pile.  To play a card, it must match at least one characteristic (color, shape, or count) of the card on which it is displayed.

They can then play down cards in front of themselves or other players. Whenever a player cannot make a match, they can discard one card from their hand and their turn is done.

Winning

The game continues until the player is completely out of cards in their hands. The game ends when one player is out of cards from their hands and draws a pile. Blink is a perfect card game for players who love fast-paced card games and want to develop their perception skills and processing speed.
