UNO Attack Card Game (The Rules to Play UNO Attack)

Uno Attack is an exciting, fast-paced variation of the classic Mattel card game Uno. This game comes with a card launcher that shoots cards higher, and it has improved sound effects and lights that flash faster than the original game. The game requires three C-size alkaline batteries, which are not included in the package. It is essential to use only alkaline batteries, as other types of batteries may cause the toy to malfunction.

The Rules to Play UNO Attack

The rules to play classic UNO Attack are simple: The game is played with 2 to 10 players and each player gets seven cards at the beginning of each round. The remaining cards will be put down in the Card Launcher, which serves as the Draw Pile.

In this game, each player takes turns playing a card from their hand that matches the color or number of the card in the discard pile after shooting out from the Uno attack machine or launcher. If a player cannot play a card, they must press the button on the Card Launcher, which may shoot out one or multiple cards. The first player to finish getting rid of all their cards wins the machine variation of the Uno game.

UNO Attack Launcher

Press the button to stack cards and add suspense to the gameplay. Each player takes turns doing this. The sound effects and flashing lights can be improved to increase the suspense. UNO Attack features an updated card launcher with a sleek design that shoots cards higher. The game continues with everyone’s favorite card shootout, which can be almost unbearable. When players have only one card left, they should yell ‘UNO.’ In the original UNO game, you need a wild card in the discard pile to press the launch button.

UNO Attack Cards

Uno Attack includes 112 cards, such as blue, green, red, and yellow cards numbered from one to nine. The game also has 8 Hit 2 cards, 8 Reverse cards, 8 Skip cards, 4 Discard All cards, 4 Trade Hands cards, and 4 Wild cards. Additionally, there are two Wild All-Hit cards and two Wild Hit-Fire cards. The card launcher comes with a top and bottom card launcher.

  • The Reverse card simply changes the direction of play, from left to right and vice versa.
  • The Skip card skips the next player’s turn, and they lose their chance to play. The Wild Card can be played on any card, and the player can choose any color to continue the game.
  • The Hit 2 card requires the next player to hit the launcher button twice and forfeit their turn.
  • The Trade Hands card forces the player to trade their hand with another player of their choosing.
  • The Discard All card allows the player to discard all the cards of the same color in their hand.
  • The Wild All Hit card forces every player to press the launcher button once (except the player who played the card). Any cards that shoot out must be added to the player’s hand, and play continues as normal.
  • Finally, the Wild Hit-Fire card requires the next player to press the launcher button until the launcher shoots out cards. The activating player adds the launched cards to their hand and forfeits their turn, and play continues with the next player.

UNO Attack Rules

The game requires the players to match the color or number of the top card of the discard pile, and the first player to get rid of all their cards wins. In UNO Attack, the cards have different meanings and actions, which can change the course of the game.

UNO Attack Rules

UNO Attack Instructions

  • The objective of the game is to keep a running total of the cards that each player has in their hand. When a player reaches a designated amount, which is usually 500, they get eliminated from the game.
  • The game continues until only two players are left, and they play head-to-head. The player who reaches or exceeds the designated amount loses the game, and the winner of the final hand is declared the winner of the game.
  • Each player needs to draw a card and then press the launcher button to shoot out the cards and if no cards shoot out, the lights and sounds will increase in speed until a bam sound is heard.
  • The player who presses the button must add the cards to their hand. Then, they need to match one card from their hand to the top card on the discard pile by number, color, or word.
  • If they don’t have a matching card, they can use a special card, such as a wild card, or hit the launch button.
  • During their turn, players can mash the card in the discard pile by number, color, or symbol.
  • They can also play a special card. When a player has only one card left, they need to yell “Uno” before playing their penultimate card.
  • If they forget to yell “Uno,” they have to hit the launcher button twice if caught by another player and the direction of play can also be reversed during the game by using the Reverse card.

How To Play UNO Attack Card Game

How To Play UNO Attack

Setup

Choose a dealer, Shuffle the deck of cards, and deal seven cards to each player and the player to the left of the dealer goes first. Assemble the Uno Attack launcher by opening the door on top of the unit and lifting the lever inside. Insert the remaining cards facedown underneath the lever, and then close the launcher door until it snaps. The top card of the deck should be placed face-up in a discard pile.

Taking Turns

On a player’s turn, they can match one card on their hand to the top card on the discard pile. The card can match by number, color, or word. If they can’t match, they can use a special card, like a wild card, or press the button on the card launcher.

If they press the button on the launcher, the launcher will shoot out a random number of cards for them to add to their hand. If nothing happens, the play moves to the next person.

Shooting Cards

If cards shoot out, players must add those cards to their hand. Any cards that are still left sticking out of the launcher must be added to the player’s hand(s) who activated the launcher. When playing the discard all card, play that card at the top and all your cards that are the same color.

Special Cards

There are special cards in Uno Attack that can help you win the game. For example, the Reverse card changes the direction of play. The Skip card skips the next player’s turn. The Wild card can be played anytime and allows you to change the color of play.

The Draw Two card makes the next player draw two cards. The Discard All card lets you play all your cards of the same color, and the next player has to draw cards until they find one of the same color.

Going Out

When you have one card left, you must yell “UNO” (meaning one) before playing your next to the last card. If you don’t shout “UNO”, you must hit the button twice. Once a player is out of cards, the hand is over. Points are totaled (see Scoring Section) and you start a new round.

Scoring

When you run out of cards, you will earn points for the cards left in your opponents’ hands.

Here are the score points:

  • All numbered cards (2 through 9) have a face value
  • The reverse card is worth 20 points
  • Skip card is worth 20 points
  • Hit 2 card is worth 20 points
  • Discard All card is worth 30 points
  • Trade Hands card is worth 30 points
  • The wild card is worth 50 points
  • The Wild All Hit card is worth 50 points
  • A Wild Hit-Fire card is worth 50 points

Winning

The round ends when one person plays all his cards first and the first person to reach 500 points will be declared the winner. However, players can also keep a running total of points for each player at the end of each hand. In this case, the player with the lowest points will be declared the winner when one player reaches 500 points.
