Clue Junior The Case of the Broken Toy is a variation of the popular board game Clue that can be played with two to six players aged four and up. The overall theme of the game is to solve the mystery of who broke a toy when it was broken and at what time it got broken by using strategy and elimination.
Clue Junior: The Case of the Broken Toy Rules
To start, choose a player to go first and roll the die; let the youngest player go first, or pick the person who most recently broke a toy. In this game, players take turns rolling the die and moving their character pawn forward on the board. The die can instruct players to perform different actions, such as looking under yellow or white bases or moving to another persons pawn.
How to Play Clue Junior The Case of the Broken Toy
To set up the game, label the bases and die by placing the white base without a label in the center of the board, and the base with crumbs in it. Face down, place the remaining five white bases, and one without looking at it.
Mix all the remaining six white bases and randomly put a character pawn into each base. Without looking at their bases, place the character pawns in their matching start spaces on the board. Mix up the other five yellow bases and place one without looking at it in the center of the board.
Mix up all the remaining yellow bases, and put random furniture in each without looking. When the participants get clues, they can filter out options until only one solution remains.
The players can make an accusation at any time on their turn by secretly saying the character’s name (the toy’s name) along with mentioning the toys broken time. And when the player is correct in all three scenarios, they win the game. However, if their clues are incorrect, they can be ruled out of the game.
