The Block Card in UNO is a customizable card with house rules defined to block action of opponent cards, and also, there are UNO power grab rules in which a player can use Power tower to block Action Cards. However, there is no official Block Card in the deck of UNO, but we can introduce a block card in UNO as a customizable card for house rules and name it as UNO Block Card. That helps to block someone’s turn or block the reverse card, and the play continues in the same way (play order not reversed).
UNO Block Card Rules (UNO Power Grab)
In the UNO card game (Based on UNO power grab rules), players can use Power Towers (which can be used to block action cards or take down opponents) to block action cards and deal with them as regular color or Wild cards. In order to block an action card, a player can play a card with an exclamation point (“!”) on it to grab the yellow Power Tower. Once the Power Tower is in their hands, they are safe from skip cards and can block action cards. However, if a player fails to block an action card, their opponents may be much less likely to play their cards because of the Power Tower.
How to Use a Block Card in UNO
- When a player plays the Block Card, they can choose to block the next player’s turn. This means that the player who played the Block Card can skip the turn of the next player and pass it to the player after them.
- Similarly, If a reverse card is played, players have the option to use the Block Card to avoid the reverse effect. This means that the play will continue in the same direction as before, instead of reversing.
- The Block Card in UNO can be according to the rules you decide to go with before starting the game. You can add any instructions to use this card, it can be for blocking any special card, skipping your turn, or drawing cards on your turn.
Note: Remember, these rules are customizable and can be customized to fit your preferences and the dynamics of your game. For example, you can decide if it can be used to stop other action cards, or if it has any additional effects, you can use it. Before starting the game, make sure to go through the rules defined and agree upon these rules with all players.
