The Draw 4 Card In UNO

The Draw 4 card in UNO is a special action card in UNO that enables the player to define the next color to be played and forces the next player to draw four cards. The player who plays the Draw 4 card gets to choose the color that the game continues with, and can’t play a Wild Draw 4 card if you have a card in your hand that is the same color as the card at the top of the discard pile.

UNO Draw 4 Card Rules

You can only play this card when you do not have another card in your hand that matches the color of the card on the top of the discard pile, but it is acceptable to play this card if you have a matching number or Action Cards. If picked up at the very start of play, place back this card in the deck, pick another card, and play resumes as usual. The next person plays according to the performing card placed after drawing 4 cards.

In the card game Uno, a player can play a Wild Draw Four card when they don't have a card that matches the color of the card previously played. However, the player can still play the card if they have a card of a different color that matches the current number or symbol, or if they have a Wild card.

In UNO, if a player doesn’t have a card that matches the color of their previous card, they can play a Wild Draw Four card instead. Moreover, a player has the option to continue playing the Wild Draw Four card even if they possess a card of a different color that aligns with the current number or symbol, or if they possess a Wild card. There is no penalty for an illegally played Wild Draw Four card unless it is challenged.

Stacking Of Draw 4 Card In UNO

According to official rules, you cannot stack a Draw 4 card on top of another Draw 4 card. This means that if a player plays a Draw 4 card, the next person to draw four cards, and they are not allowed to play another Draw 4 card to make the following player draw even more cards.

When a player is required to draw four cards because of a Draw 4 card, they must draw the four cards and skip their turn. This is a penalty for not being able to defend against the Draw 4 card.

  • If someone puts down a +4 card, you must draw 4 and your turn is skipped.
  • You can’t put down a +2 to make the next person draw 6.
  • You can’t stack a Draw 4 card on a Draw 2.
  • You can’t stack a Draw 2 card on another Draw 2.

If you are concerned that a player has illegally played a Wild Draw 4 card on you, and they have a matching card, then you can investigate that player. The challenged person must show their cards. If he gets caught, the claimed player must draw the 4 cards instead of you. However, if the challenged player is innocent, you must draw the 4 cards and an additional 2 cards (6 total)!
