The UNO Out is a house rule that allows players to leave the game while holding all their cards. Players do not need to say “UNO Out” when playing their final card, instead, they yell UNO while playing their second last card. When a player gets rid of their last card (“goes out”), they win the hand and score points for the cards held by each other player.
UNO Out Rule/UNO Going Out
When you play your last and final card, you must yell ‘UNO’ to specify that you only have one left. However, “UNO Out” is a popular house rule when playing the last card, but it is not a requirement. If you don’t yell “UNO” and the other players find you before the next player begins their turn, you must draw two cards. When a player runs out of cards, the round is over, and the first player to reach 500 points wins the game.
